PLACES TO VISIT :
PATRAS
It's the 3rd biggest city in Greece, capital
of Peloponnese.
What you can visit :
1. Saint Andrew's church, which is the biggest church in Balkans.
2. Patra's museum, which is situated in the center of the city next to Olgas
Square.
3. The ancient conservatory, where many concerts take place in summertime.
4. The castle of Patras, which is situated in a very nice place at Dassylio hill.
There you can enjoy your coffee under the great view of Patras.
5. King George's square. This square is the center of Patras. Also next to the
square is situated Patras Municipal Theater "Apollon".
6. Achaia Claus. It's a historical wine-producing company, which produces the
famous wines "Demestica" and "Mavrodafni".

RIO
It's a very nice suburb of
Patras where you can have a coffee or a meal under the view of Patraikos Kolpos.
Also there is the biggest bridge in Europe and a ferry-boat from Rio to Antirrio which links Peloponese witch the
central Greece.

OLYMPIA
It's
a very important archeological place with many great see-sights.
Ancient Olympia is the city where the Ancient Olympic Games
were taking place.

KALAVRITA-MEGA
SPILEO
It's a
nice and graphic highland city on Helmos mountain.
You can go there either with your own vihacle, bus, or you
can take from Diakofto the nice train called "Odontotos" which will
transfer you to Kalavrita through Vouraikos cleft. It's really a very nice trip.
In Kalavrita you can visit Saint Lavra's Monastery, where was
given the signal for the Greek revolution in 1821.
Also you will see the hill where many Kalavritians were
executed at the second world war.
Near to Kalavrita is situated a Monastery named "Mega
Spileo" which possesses many important jewels.

CAVE
OF LAKES Only a few kilometers outside of the city
of Kalavrita is located the Cave Of Lakes with stalagmites and stalactites and
with the mannerism, as its name says, that in all of this Cave there are natural
lakes on many levels.
At a small distance from the Cave Of Lakes you will find
"Planitero" where in a beautiful natural environment with vernacular
water and huge trees, is located the pisciculture of trouts. Also there is a
stone wall restaurant where you can taste trout or salmon. back DELPHI
At a distance of 140 km away from the camping,
after passing Rio-Antirrio and turning by the sign (Itea-Delphi) you will find
Delphi, another nice idea for daily trip.
